The convention, being held in Belek/Antalya, Turkey, is a chance for international sporting leaders to engage with business.

SportAccord International Convention has had Sport Event Denmark as a partner every year since its inaugural event in 2003.

It's aim is to "attract, organise and develop large international spectator and participant events in order to help develop sport in Denmark, market Denmark internationally and get Denmark on the world map of sports [and] boost tourism in the cities that host sporting events".

Lars Lundov, chief executive of Sport Event Denmark, said: "Our ongoing partnership underlines our satisfaction with SportAccord Convention and the talented people behind it.

"SportAccord Convention is an absolute must for us on the global stage if we want to brand Denmark as an active and ideal sports event nation.

SportAccord International Convention, which  is due to be held in the Susesi Convention Centre from April 6 to 11, hosts the annual general meetings of governing bodies of world sport.

Belek/Antalya hosted last year's World Archery Championships, and will welcome the 2014 Turkish Airlines Ladies Golf Open, which is part of the Ladies European Tour, in May.
