Powerlifter Mansour Pourmirzaei, archer Timur Tuchinov and goalball athlete Marius Zibolis complete the list of names who have been nominated by National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) and International Federations (IFs).

It is no surprise that American McFadden is on another shortlist for an award as the 24-year-old comes to an end of a remarkable year which has seen her complete an historic Grand Slam of wheelchair marathon titles.

The three-time Paralympic champion's victory in last month's New York marathon was her fourth of the year and followed wins in London, Boston and Chicago, and added to her six world titles at the Athletics World Championships in Lyon.

Guedoun was instrumental in securing Algeria's place at next year's International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) Wheelchair Basketball World Championships after he lead his country to gold at the African Championships in Luanda.

Guedoun picked up the tournament's MVP (Most Valuable Player) as his side overcame hot favourites South Africa 66-56 in the final.

Japan's Kamiji made history in California last month as she became the first non-Dutch winner of the women's singles title at the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters.

Her 7-6, 3-6, 6-4 victory over reigning champion Jiske Griffioen saw the women's title claimed by non-Dutch hands for the first time in 20 years.

Iranian Pourmirzaei stunned the crowd at the Titiwangsa Stadium in Kuala Lumpur as he smashed the men's over 107 kilogramme world record by an astonishing 36kg to take gold at the Powerlifting Asian Open Championships.

The 33-year-old lifted 276kg to obliterate the record of 240kg set by Iraq's Faris Al-Ajeeli.

Zibolis lead his Lithuanian teammates to gold at the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Goalball European Championships in Turkey, bagging the only goal of the game in the final win over Spain.

Russia's Tuchinov secured the first individual world title of his career at the World Archery Para-Championships in Bangkok last month.

The Paralympic and European champion took the men's recurve standing title before going on to also secure top spot in the men's team recurve open finals.

The public now has a week to vote for who they think should pick up the award with voting set to close at 12:00 CEST on December 11.
