Remember, remember as Glasgow 2014 tickets to go on public sale from November 5October 31 - Glasgow 2014 is urging the public to "Remember, remember, the fifth of November" as this will be the day when all remaining tickets for next year's Commonwealth Games go on general public sale.

With the exclusive sale period for registered applicants now over, the tickets - available in six sports including rugby sevens and weightlifting - will be available for purchase on a first come, first served basis from 10am GMT next Tuesday.

There is also still a chance to see the Glasgow 2014 Opening and Closing Ceremonies as tickets for these go on sale next week, albeit with limited availability.

"We have been so delighted with the phenomenal demand for tickets so far," Ty Speer, deputy chief executive of Glasgow 2014 said.

"Scotland's biggest ever party is guaranteed, so if people want to be a part of it, I'd urge them to get in quick as we put on sale our few remaining tickets.

"There are still limited tickets available to experience great sport in Glasgow, and we'd love you to join us."

Following what Glasgow 2014 calls "unprecedented demand for tickets", it says it will release more information on the sales so far, including a detailed breakdown of the tickets still available, ahead of the general sale.

Tickets can be bought online here or via the ticketing hotline on 0844 8262014.
