Halfords and Boardman Bikes announce 10 year extension to their partnershipOctober 3 - Halfords and Boardman Bikes have revealed a 10 year extension to their relationship today which will see their exclusive partnership run through until 2024.


Halfords are currently the sole providers of Boardman Bikes in Britain after a deal was struck in 2007 following the launch of the Boardman Performance Series.

Matt Davies, chief executive of Halfords, expressed his delight at the extension and talked of the growing success the Boardman Series was having in the country.

"It's great news that we are extending our exclusive partnership with Boardman," he said.

"The Boardman Performance Series has been a stunning success since we started stocking them in 2007.

"Our customers love the combination of cutting-edge design and affordable prices. I'm really looking forward to helping make the dream of owning a Boardman a reality for many more cyclists in the years ahead."

The range was launched in 2007 by Broadman, the 1992 Olympic 4,000 metres pursuit gold medallist and three time world champion.

The bikes are renowned for their build quality, technical spec and affordability.

They have grown to become one of the leading brands of premium bikes in Britain that are ridden by Olympic, world, European and national champions.

Boardman, one of Britain's most successful ever cyclist, described his excitement for the new deal which coincides with the launch of the 2014 Boardman Performance Series.

"I am delighted we are extending our partnership with Halfords, which means the Boardman Performance Series will continue to be available nationwide and supported by Halfords network of stores," he said.

"The 2014 Performance Series has been designed over an intense two year period focusing on maximising performance, design and quality across all bikes.
