Yana Kudryavtseva took her tally of medals to five at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Kyiv by winning the all-round titleAugust 30 - Russia's Yana Kudryavtseva was in sensational form once again at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Kyiv, taking the all-round world title with 73.866 points to continue her nation's dominance.

Kudryavtseva won two silver medals with the ball and hoop on Wednesday (August 28) and followed those up with two gold medals yesterday, tying for gold with compatriot Margarita Mamun on clubs and coming first with the ribbon.

The 16-year-old was at the top of her game once again to take the all-round title, taking her Championship tally to three golds and two silver medals.

Mamun had gone in as the top qualifier but her nerves looked to have got the better of her as she made multiple errors in all her routines bar the ball, in which she posted the second highest score, but it was not enough as she finished in sixth with a score of 70.290 points.

But Kudryavtseva made few mistakes as she posted the highest score on three of apparatus, including a huge score of 18.700 with the clubs, the highest of the championships.

She finished clear of home favourite Ganna Rizatdinova, who took silver with a score of 73.041, and Belarus won their third bronze medal of the Championships as Melitina Stanioutatook third with a score of 72.166 points.

Russia lead the medal tally with five gold medals, along with two silvers and one bronze, whilst the host nation Ukraine are in second with one gold, two silvers and one bronze, whilst Belarus are doing everything in threes, in third place with three third-placed finishes.
