Alan Dickson FacebookJuly 30 - Sir Philip Craven will face opposition for re-election as President of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) from a fellow Briton Alan Dickson, it has been announced.


Dickson, 63, is the former President of The Cerebral Palsy International Sports and Recreation Association (CPISRA).

CPISRA is a founding member of the IPC and has been responsible for the development of sport for those with cerebral palsy worldwide.

Dickson is currently a member of the IPC's Governing Board and has been since 2005.

Since that time he has also been the chairman fo the the IPC's Legal and Ethics Committee.

The election for the IPC President is due to take place at the Athenaeum Intercontinental Hotel on November 24.
