USA Fencing have selected Paralympic stars such as Ryan Estep, ranked third in the world in category B men's epee in 2012, and Joseph Brinson, who will compete in the same event as his team-mate Estep in the Hungarian capital.

The other two stars from London 2012 to be included are four-time Paralympian and team captain Gerard Moreno, who will compete in the category B foil and sabre events at his seventh Wheelchair World Championships, and category A sabre and epee competitor Catherine Bouwkamp, who became the youngest U.S. athlete ever to compete in wheelchair fencing at the Paralympic Games at the age of 16.

Curtis Lovejoy, who competed at Sydney 2000, will make his first appearance at a World Championships since winning gold in the category C men's foil event in 2006 in a team led by five-time Paralympic coach Les Stawicki, assisted by Julio Diaz, team leader Ginny Boydston and athletics trainer Raluca Duma.

Competition in the Hungarian capital of Budapest is due to begin on August 7 and will conclude on August 12.
