index 1 grandeJune 27 - Details have been released for the 2014 British Basketball League (BBL) Cup Final, which will take place at Birmingham's National Indoor Arena (NIA) for the 12th consecutive occasion on January 12 next year.

The BBL Cup Final is the biggest annual game in British basketball and has seen sustained growth in recent years, leading to a bumper crowd for last year's final between Leicester Riders and Newcastle Eagles, which went 85-80 in the Riders favour.

And along with the showpiece final, the 2014 event will see the return of the BBL Slam Dunk Contest, which will see some of the top dunkers in the land face-off for the title, as well as performances from the All Star Dunkers Acrobatic Dunk Team, Foxy the dunking mascot and the "BBL Babes Cheerleaders".

Doors will open at midday on the day of the event at the NIA, and proceedings will begin with a support game, of which the teams are yet to be confirmed, that will tip-off at 12.30pm.

This will be followed by the BBL Slam Dunk Contest and other entertainment before the final itself gets underway at 4.30pm.

Tickets are priced from £22 ($34/€26) for adults and £15.40 ($24/€18) for children, and can be bought when tickets officially go on sale next Monday (July 1).

Courtside tickets with VIP hospitality can also be purchased.
