World number two and defending champion Stephane Houdet (pictured top left) faces a tough task on his opening game on home clay, as he prepares to face Argentine world number four Gustavo Fernandez, who has defeated him on two of their last three meetings.

World number one Shingo Kunieda of Japan, who has lost in the final of the last two events at Roland Garros, will get his campaign underway against Stefan Olsson of Sweden, who is ranked number seven in the world, and 2011 champion Michael Scheffers is due to face Dutch compatriot Ronald Vink in his opener.

There will also be a singles debut at Grand Slam level for Britain's 21-year-old Gordon Reid, who faces a tough task against world number nine Michael Jeremiasz, who will be playing in his hometown.

In the women's draw, there is an all-Dutch affair with unsettled history, as world number two Jiske Griffoen faces compatriot and world number four Marjolein Buis, the opponent that defeated Griffoen with the legendary now-retired Esther Vergeer in the final of the women's doubles at London 2012 to take gold.

Their fellow Dutchwoman and world number one Aniek van Koot will face Great Britain's Lucy Shuker in her opening tie, as world number three Sabine Ellerbrock takes on fellow German Katharina Kruger , and South Africa's Kgothatso Montjane makes her Roland Garros debut against Sharon Walraven of the Netherlands.
