89826064May 23 - European football governing body UEFA have announced today that the 2015 UEFA Champions League Final will take place at the Olympic Stadium in the German capital Berlin, with the 2015 UEFA Europa League final set to be hosted at Poland's National Stadium in Warsaw.

The decisions were made by UEFA's Executive Committee prior to their showpiece UEFA Champions League Final at Wembley on Saturday (May 25), which will be the first all-German final between fierce rivals Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

Berlin's 75,000-seater Olympic Stadium hosted the 1936 Olympic Games, as well as three matches at the 1974 FIFA World Cup and the 2006 FIFA World Cup Final between Italy and France.

The stadium was also the scene where Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt set the current 100 metres world record in a time of 9.58sec in 2009.

This will be the first time the UEFA Champions League Final has been held in the German capital since reunification, though it has taken place in Germany on four occasions; last year at Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena, at their former home, Munich's Olympic Stadium, in 1993 and 1997 and at Schalke's Veltins-Arena in 2004.

The National Stadium in Polish capital Warsaw was opened in 2011 and will host the country's first ever major European final in 2015 after it was confirmed today that it would host the UEFA Europa League Final.

The Stadium hosted the opening match at UEFA Euro 2012, as well as the semi-final between Germany and Italy in the tournament which was co-hosted by Poland and Ukraine.

It was announced last year that the 2014 UEFA Champions League Final would take place at Lisbon's Stadium of Light, with the UEFA Europa League to be held at Juventus Stadium in Turin.

The Executive Committee also confirmed today that a minimum ten-match ban would be handed out to players found guilty of racism in UEFA tournaments.

FIFA will also announce tomorrow whether the winners of the Europa League will gain automatic qualification for the following season's Champions League.
