alltech-weg-2014-logoMay 16 - The International Equestrian Federation (FEI) has named Eurovision as the official host broadcaster for the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.

The deal will see the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) operated channel provide all host broadcast services, including news footage coverage and highlights packages, through its wholly owned subsidiary Eurovision Production Co-ordination (EPC) and EBU Member France Télévisions to serve the rights holders and the FEI at the flagship event, which is due to take place in Normandy from August 23 to September 7 next year.

The EBU holds the exclusive media rights for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014 for Europe and this is the first operational collaboration between EPC and France Télévisions, although EPC has similar working partnerships with other EBU Members.

"These contracts are confirmation that we are the go-to media partner for the world's elite sports federations, whatever their broadcast needs," EBU director of sports and business Stefan Kuerten said.

"The EBU and our members will ensure that top quality coverage of the FEI's flagship equestrian competition can reach the widest audience possible."
