UEFA Champions Festival 2013 2March 1 - UEFA will host its annual Champions Festival at The International Quarter next to London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, to coincide with the UEFA Champions League Final which takes place at Wembley Stadium on May 25.

The event, which will take place on May 23 to 26, will offer a range of activities for fans of all ages, including the opportunity to have photo's taken with the famous Champions League and Women's Champions League trophies.

The festival will also feature skills workshops and coaching sessions for children run by professional coaches and give fans the opportunity to visit the Champions League museum, which celebrates the history of Europe's premier club tournament.

Festival ambassadors such as former Liverpool and Real Madrid star Steve McManaman, who was the first British player to lift the Champions League trophy twice, and former England captain Faye White, who captained Arsenal Ladies to the Women's Champions League title in 2007, will be at the festival to meet and greet fans.

"The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the Stratford area came alive in the summer for London 2012 and UEFA is very proud to bring the annual UEFA Champions Festival to such a fantastic facility and offer an event that gives both parents and children the opportunity to celebrate football in a truly spectacular venue with free admission for all," said McManaman.

"We expect everyone will be blown away by the amazing multi-event entertainment programme on offer."

McManaman will also be one of a host of former superstars to compete in the annual Ultimate Champions Match, which gives fans the opportunity to watch Champions League legends of yesteryear roll back the time in a unique game of football.

"We are delighted that the UEFA Champions Festival is returning to London and especially that it will take place on the International Quarter close to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the scene of our biggest sporting moment," said London Mayor Boris Johnson.

"It will provide a fantastic week-long family event and will revive the spirit of community and celebration that made last year's Olympic Games so special."
