Welsh Open champion Graham Trinder (pictured top, second left) took -60kg gold, while British Championships bronze medallist Andy Burns and London 2012 Olympian James Austin topped the medal rostrum in the -90kg and -100kg categories, respectively.

Commonwealth Championships bronze medallist Patrick Dawson bounced back from a quarterfinal defeat to produce two victories in the repechage and win -73kg bronze.

The results are a career-best for all four judoka as Trinder, Dawson and Burns clinched their first World Cup medals, while James Austin won his first gold on the World Cup stage.

Meanwhile, at the Istanbul World Cup a four-strong, self-funded women's team all placed, with British Championships gold medallist Connie Ramsey producing the best result as she claimed a bronze medal.

While Ramsey won her first World Cup medal in the -57kg category, her three teammates all lost bronze medal contests to finish in fifth-place.

Sisters Kimberley and Louise Renicks competed in the -48kg and -52kg categories respectively, while London 2012 Olympian Sophie Cox took to the tatami in the -57kg field.
