Sullivan (pictured above), who won five gold medals at Sydney 2000, four gold medals four years later at Athens and another gold at Beijing 2008, will be competing in the T38 100 metres, 200m and 400m, and the 4x100m and 4x400m at what will be his fourth consecutive Games.

Shot put contender Hamish MacDonald will be competing in his sixth Paralympic Games, while fellow thrower Brydee Moore (pictured below) is to line up at her second Paralympics.

Nathan Arkley, a 17-year-old wheelchair racer, 22-year-old Sam McIntosh and Michelle Errichiello are making their Paralympic debut.

The final member of the squad is sprinter Torita Isaac, who has recovered from a multiple bone fracture.

They take Australia's athletics contingent up to 43, making it the largest of all 13 sports the country are competing in.

It also means Australia has the largest collection of athletes taking part in the Paralympics aside from hosts Britain, with 161 competitors travelling to London.


"We are thrilled to finally confirm the names of every member of the Australian Paralympic Team," said Australian Paralympic Committee chief executive and 2012 team Chef de Mission, Jason Hellwig.

"Congratulations to the final seven athletes named on the team, who are the newest members of what is the strongest team Australia has ever put together for a Paralympic Games.

"London promises to be something special, not only because of the athletes on show and the performances that the Australian team is capable of, but because of the way the world has embraced the Paralympic Games.

"Paralympic sport is about to take another giant leap forward."
