Singapore sign_deal_with_SingTel_June_2012June 21 - Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) has signed a sponsorship deal with Singapore National Paralympics Council (SNPC), it was announced today.


As part of the deal, SingTel will be the exclusive multimedia partner to SNPC for London 2012.

The eight Paralympians who will benefit from the sponsorship are swimmers Theresa Goh and Yip Pin Xiu, sailors Jovin Tan and dressage riders Desiree Lim and Laurentia Tan, Maxmillian Tan and Gemma Foo, and boccia players Nurulasyiqah Binte Mohammad Taha.

As part of the deal, all Singapore's atheltes competing at the Olympic and Paralympic Games will be provided with complimentary airtime and data subscriptions to keep in touch with friends and relatives.

It was also announced that Goh (pictured above right) will carry Singapore's flag at the Opening Ceremony of London 2012.

The 25-year-old, who has congenital spina bifida, also carried Singapore's flag at the Opening Ceremony in Beijing four years ago.
