Australia v_Japan_Osaka_Cup_February_2012February 19 - Australia's women's basketball wheelchair team have won the Osaka Cup in Japan with a 59-50 victory over Canada as they prepare for this year's Paralympic Games.

It was their second victory over Canada during the tournament after a victory against Japan and a defeat to China.

The final was a close fought affair with only three points separating the two at half-time but they eventually clinched the victory thanks to a superb performance from Kylie Guaci, who picked up 14 points and was named in the All Star Five.

Sarah Stewart, another key performer, was awarded the Most Valuable Player award and scored 14 more points in the final.

The victory compliments Australia's win at the Asia Oceania Championships which guaranteed them a place at the London 2012 Paralympics.

Australia will face Canada again in London, as well as the hosts Britain, Netherlands and Brazil.
