Askar visited the OCA's headquarters in Kuwait City during a trip for a Gulf countries National Olympic Committees Presidents' meeting.

The pair discussed "several subjects of mutual interest", including Bahrain's hosting of the Olympic Solidarity/OCA Regional Forum for West, Central and South Asian National Olympic Committees on May 7 and 8, and Askar spoke of his nation's desire to strengthen relations with the continental body to ensure the success of BOC plans and programmes.

Farman also expressed his confidence in a "fruitful cooperation" between the OCA and BOC and promised to maintain permanent communication with Asian NOCs across the board.

It is hoped this strategy will continue to develop the continent's sports movement.
