Getty Images has renewed its agreemetn with the USOC ©Getty ImagesGetty Images has renewed its agreement with the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), meaning that it will remain as the organisation's exclusive Official Photographic Agency.

As part of the service, Getty Images' photographers will continue to cover US athletes as they prepare, train and compete at the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, and the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

"For more than 25 years, Getty Images has played a significant role in visually sharing the stories of US Olympic and Paralympic athletes," said Peter Zeytoonjian, USOC managing director of marketing.

"The USOC is very pleased to extend its relationship with Getty Images through to 2020."

Getty Images is a major player in Olympic sports photography, having captured images of the Games dating back to Athens 1896.

The company is the Official Photographic Agency for both the International Olympic Committee and International Paralympic Committee, giving it extensive access at some of the world's most popular sporting events.
