The EYOWF, which takes place between January 24 and 31, represents the second occasion that Gosling has acted in the role after leading Team GB at the 2013 European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Dutch city Utrecht, where the team of 44 athletes returned with 31 medals across nine sports - nine gold, 14 silver and eight bronze.

Gosling was part of the gold medal-winning team, affectionately named "three blondes in a boat", which triumphed in the Yngling sailing class at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games and she won gold again four years later in Beijing alongside Pippa Wilson and her crewmate from Athens Sarah Ayton.

"It is such a privilege to lead Team GB as Chef de Mission for a second time," said Gosling.

"I have such fond memories of Utrecht 2013 and I'm looking forward to utilising that experience in Voralberg and Liechtenstein early next year.

"Being a winter Festival, it represents an exciting new challenge for me and I can't wait to get started.

"These Festivals are a fantastic opportunity for our young winter talent to experience life in a multi-sport Games and I hope it can act as an inspiration and springboard for future success with Team GB at Pyeonchang 2018 and beyond."

BOA chief executive, Bill Sweeney, added: "The BOA is delighted to welcome Sarah back as the Chef de Mission for the 2015 EYOWF in Voralberg and Liechtenstein.

"Utrecht 2013 was a huge success for Team GB, providing valuable experience for our athletes, and I have no doubt that this Festival will prove equally important for the selected competitors.

"The Youth Olympic Festivals represent fantastic opportunities for young athletes to learn Olympic values and understand what life is like as part of Team GB.

"Sarah's first-hand experience as a double gold medallist and as a Chef de Mission provides the ideal leadership to inspire these athletes and to help them maximise their time at the Games."

In total, eight sports will make up the programme for the 2015 EYOWF, with the heart of the Festival located in the Montafon Valley, Austria, and the two neighbouring towns of Schruns and Tschagguns.

It is the first EYOWF to be organised by two countries.

The seminar of the Technical Delegates and Chefs de Mission will take place between October 9 and 12.
