The inspections of 11 final competition venues got underway today with a visit to the Naju Public Stadium, where the men's football finals are due to be held on July 13 next year.

Gwangju 2015, led by its secretary general Kim Yoon-suk, and more than 80 other officials carried out a "Venue Operation Scenario briefing" to test next year's operation plan.

They examined 17 different areas relating to game support, facilities, the awards ceremonies, logistics, security, catering, transportation and competition management.

FISU officials are due to arrive in the city for four inspection days from July 21 to 24.

Following the inspections of the other Gwangju 2015 facilities, the Organising Committee will adjust the existing venue operation plans accordingly and hold a final briefing session at the beginning of next month.

Test events are due to take place in August.
