Organising Committee officials have carried out a comprehensive evaluation of their technical capabilities, products and sponsorship credentials, they claim. 

Black Yak will provide more than 160,000 pieces of sportswear, including jackets, t-shirts, hats and bags, for the Gwangju 2015 Torchbearers and volunteers.

Meanwhile, lifestyle brand LF Corp, previously known as LG Fashion, will design and produce the uniforms for the Games officials, while providing necessary support in fashion shows.

Gwangju 2015 will now negotiate technical details with the firm before officially signing a sponsorship agreement.

"Following Black Yak's sponsorship in sportswear, LF Corp, one of the top national fashion groups, has become the sponsor for formal wear during the Games," a Gwangju 2015 spokesperson said.

"The support of the two competent companies will surely upgrade the class of the 2015 Gwangju Universiade."

Gwangju 2015 has already signed up a number of official sponsors for the Summer Universiade, including South Korean motor vehicle manufacturer Kia Motors, local bank Kwangju Bank and Asiana Airlines.
