Wild, the US-born two time reigning Olympic champion, saw off the season's rising star Mirko Felicetti of Italy, while home hope Zan Kosir, runner-up at the World Championships in Kreischberg earlier this month, came third.

"I stood true to myself, doing my runs and never let the pressure get to me if people get in front of me or anything like that," said Wild afterwards.

"I just did my runs and expected that nobody would be able to beat that."

The Russian now sits third in the overall standings, with Kosir and Italy's Roland Fischnaller, who finished down in 18th today, first and second.

There was Austrian domination, meanwhile, in the women's event as Marion Kreiner defeated compatriot Ina Meschik to consolidate his overall World Cup lead.

Third place went to Germany's Selina Joerg.

The next leg of the Alpine snowboard World Cup tour will take place in Sudelfeld, Germany next weekend, with action beginning on Friday (February 6).
