The pair have been invited jointly by the Mayors of Sarajevo and East Sarajevo to visit the city and perform a routine which they received a set of straight 6.0 marks for at the 1984 Winter Games.

They will return to the Olympic Hall Juan Antonio Samaranch on February 13, a day before the 30th anniversary of their gold medal winning performance.

The arena, called the Zetra Olympic Hall at the time of the Games, was destroyed in 1992 during the Bosnian War.

It was rebuilt and reopened in 1999.

"It will be an emotional day for us and one which we are very much looking forward to," said Torvill, 56, and Dean, 55, in a statement.

"To return to the place which provided such a life-changing moment for us will be an exciting and rewarding way to mark the 30th anniversary."

As well as receiving perfect marks for artistic impression, they received three other 6.0 marks for their iconic free dance.

Money raised from their performance of Bolero next month will be used to build a permanent ice rink in Sarajevo to be used at the 2017 European Youth Winter Olympic Festival.

Torvill and Dean came out of retirement and returned to Olympic competition in Lillehammer in 1994, where they won the bronze medal.
