May 1 - Brazilians Juliana Silva and Larissa Franca took gold at the Sanya Open in China, to clinch back to back titles in the 2011 FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch World Tour.
They won the Brasilia Open last week, and took gold in Sanya with a 19-21, 22-20, 17-15 victory.
Silva said: "It's an incredible match and we are very happy to win, we knew it would be a tough match and made good preparation last night."
In the decisive set, the Brazilians took four straight points to take a 14-12 advantage before China's Xue/Zhang won three match saving points in a row, but then Xue made a mistake at 16-15 down to seal the Brazilians' success.
Franca said: "They are an old team and the home fans are cheering for them.
"We are very tired, but very happy, we have two gold medals now."
Xue said: "Despite the loss in the final, we are happy about our improvement.
"It's the beginning of the new season and we are in better shape than last week.
"Hopefully we will be even better next week in Shanghai."
