The WTA has signed a historic media rights deal ©Getty ImagesThe Women's Tennis Association (WTA) has signed a historic media rights deal worth £525 million (£334 million/€423 million) over the next 10 years.

The extended partnership agreement with Perform is the largest live media rights and production venture in the history of the WTA and in women's sports.

It will see the production of all 2,000 main draw singles match within the 10-year time period, which runs from 2017-2026.

The semi-final and finals of all finals matches will also be produced under the new deal.

Also, WTA Media will increase its production of news content by 40 per cent, and will deliver additional magazine shows and significant off-court content to support the WTA's mobile, digital and social media strategy.

"This is a game changing and historic moment for our fans and for women's sport," said Stacey Allaster, chairman and chief exeutive of the WTA.

"Our new broadcast strategy to produce all 2000 main draw singles matches in partnership with Perform will deliver exponential global exposure for our players, tournaments and partners."
