The final on October 31, 2015, is one of a number of matches at Twickenham Stadium in London that have had their kick-off times brought forward from 5.00pm to 4.00pm, including two quarter-finals on October 17 and 18 and both semi-finals on October 24 and 25.

The other quarter-final on October 17 at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium has been moved to an 8.00pm start as has France's Pool D match against Italy at Twickenham on September 19.

On October 1, Wales' Pool A match against the Oceania 1 qualifier in Cardiff will now kick-off at 4.45pm while France versus Canada on the same day will now start at 8.00pm at stadium:mk in Milton Keynes.

In addition, all pool matches that were previously scheduled to kick-off at 5.00pm will now kick-off at 4.45pm.

Organisers Rugby World Cup Limited and England Rugby 2015 revealed the changes today following consultation with international broadcasters and claim the revised schedule will make the match-day experience for fans better while also maximising the global television reach of the tournament.

Rugby World Cup 2015 will see 20 teams take part in 48 matches across 13 venues in England and Wales with organisers aiming to sell more than two million tickets for the event which is due to take place from September 18 to October 31.

Official supporter packages for the tournament were launched on January 1 followed by hospitality packages on February 1 with organisers claiming that they are being bought in record numbers.

England 2015 says it will make further tickets available to people involved at the grassroots level of the game via the "rugby fans through rugby clubs" scheme due to be launched this month.

In September, the general ticket sales application process begins with any remaining tickets being made available for real-time sales in November and December 2014.
