Modern pentathlon celebrates 100 years with special London 2012 video

July 12 - With less than a month to go until the modern pentathlon event at the London 2012 Olympic Games, the International Modern Pentathlon Union (UIPM) has released its London 2012 promotional video.This video commemorates 100 years of modern pentathlon in the Olympic Games - from Stockholm 1912 until London 2012 - and shows how the sport has been modernised over the past 100 years to fit with Pierre de Coubertin's vision.
Further videos will be available in the lead up to London 2012 on UIPM's YouTube channel.
The modern pentathlon Olympic event will be held on August 11 and 12, with fencing at the Copper Box, swimming at the Aquatics Centre, and the riding and combined event taking place at Greenwich Park.
