AMPC congressAugust 12 - South Korean Jai-Yeong Lee has been named as new President of the Asian Modern Pentathlon Confederation (AMPC) replacing compatriot Ji Song Lee, who resigned for "personal reasons" in June.

Lee, who is also the President of the Korea Modern Pentathlon Federation, was unanimously elected at the continental federation's congress, which took place in Seoul and was chaired by International Modern Pentathlon Union (UIPM) vice-president Kui-Sung Choi.

Six countries, namely Kazakhstan, South Korea, China, Japan, India and Kyrgyzstan, were present at the congress.

In becoming President of the AMPC, Lee joins the UIPM board.
