British judoka warm-up for Europeans at Dusseldorf Grand Prix meeting

February 17 - Britain's leading judoka will prepare for the forthcoming European Championships by competing in Dusseldorf this weekend. British Judo has selected the same seven-strong team that competed at the Paris Grand Slam.
Sophie Cox (pictured top left), the reigning European bronze medallist, will compete in the -52kg category while fellow British Closed Championships winner Sarah Clark (pictured below in white) takes to the tatami at -57kg in the International Judo Federation's Dusseldorf Grand Prix – the highest-profile competition before the European Championships get underway in Russia from April 27-29.
Karina Bryant and Sarah Adlington, who both took fifth place at the Paris Grand Slam, will again compete in the +78kg category.

Ashley McKenzie battles at -60kg while Colin Oates, who also took fifth-place in Paris with a record of three wins and one defeat, competes at -66kg.
Masters bronze medallist and British Closed Champion Euan Burton sees action in the -81kg category.
