The IJF has released its new iPhone and Android mnobile applications ©IJFThe International Judo Federation (IJF) has launched a new official mobile application to provide fans across the world with information about the sport.


Available on iPhone and Android smartphones, the app has been developed in English and is free to download.

Features include news, a calendar, competition results and a photo gallery.

The app is automatically synchronised with the IJF official home page, giving direct access to their Facebook page, Twitter feed and live television web channel.

Information about the IJF, its members and its partners are also available through an easy navigation system, it is claimed by officials.

The launch of the app comes on the eve of the Incheon 2014 Asian Games, where judo will feature on the programme as athletes contend for medals in the sport between September 20 and 23. 

There is a total of 29 men's events and 22 women's events spread across the four-day schedule.
