Gymmnastics deal_3_SeptSeptember 5 - The European Union of Gymnastics (UEG) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) have signed an all-inclusive global media rights and services deal.

The new agreement (pictured) takes the relationship of the two organisations, which has existed for more than 25 years, to a new level, it is claimed.

The extended partnership will cover 10 gymnastics championships between 2013 and 2016, including the men's and women's European Artistic and Rhythmic Championships.

In addition, the EBU will distribute, on behalf of the UEG, broadcasting of the European Championships in the trampoline, aerobic and acrobatic disciplines.

"This agreement will strengthen the position of gymnastics in Europe," said International Gymnastics Federation President Professor Bruno Grandi.
