Hambeuchen, who added World Championship silver in Antwerp last month to his London 2012 silver in the horizontal bar competition, will be keen to continue a good run of form in front of his home crowd at the Porsche Arena.

Following on from Antwerp, Hambeuchen and teammate Elisabeth Seitz took another silver medal at the Swiss Cup in Zurich at the beginning of this month.

The German duo finished behind Iordache and compatriot Andrei Muntean in the Hallenstadion and the 17-year-old Olympic team bronze medallist looks to be the woman to beat coming into Stuttgart.

Sandwiched either side of the Swiss Cup win, Iordache took top honours at the Arthur Gander Memorial in Morges and the Elite Gym Massilia event in Marseille.

However, she will be up against reigning Stuttgart World Cup champion Elizabeth Price of the United States.

Price, 17, will be hoping to get an injury-hit season back on track at the scene of her first ever World Cup win last year.

Along with Canada's Briannah Tsang, World Championship All-Around finalists Vanessa Ferrari of Italy, Swiss Giulia Steingruber, Italy's Carlotta Ferlito and Britain's Ruby Harrold oomplete the women's line-up.

On the men's side, Hambeuchen will face competition from Ukrainian Ole Verniaiev, who will be looking to make up for a disappointing performance in Antwerp where he finished outside the medals.

London 2012 Olympians Fabian Gonzalez of Spain, Germany's Andreas Toba and American John Orozco will be looking to impress as will Daniel Purvis of Britain, who took team bronze in London last year.

Following Stuttgart, the World Cup series stops off in Glasgow next month then moves on to Greensboro in March next year before the final event of the season in Tokyo in April.

The top scorers from each individual event will be crowned the champion once the action concludes in Tokyo.
