Whitlock, who has already taken the English and British all around titles as well as three European medals this year, will be joined in the Belgian city by his fellow London 2012 men's all around team bronze medallists, Daniel Purvis, Sam Oldham and Kristian Thomas.

This year's European pommel horse champion Daniel Keatings, who won silver in the all around competition at the 2009 World Championships, and Ashley Watson, winner of five medals at the 2013 English and British Championships, complete the men's line up for the event.

"An individual World Championships gives an indication as to the progress of gymnasts from the top nations and the improvements made in the new cycle," men's head coach Eddie Van Hoof said.

"For the British boys it gives a chance to show upgraded routines and the opportunity for individual gymnasts to shine.

"We hope to build on the success of the European Championships and demonstrate the great depth we have in our squad."
