149580852July 23 - Next month's US National Gymnastics Championships in Hartford, Connecticut, will feature not just top-class gymnastics action but also a wide array of activities and entertainment for fans and the honouring of a number of Hall of Fame inductees, including the entire Olympic squad from London 2012.

The Championships will see the nation's top gymnasts face off with domestic titles on the line, but fans will also have plenty of other reasons to attend.

Fans and workers in the city will have the opportunity to take part in morning workout sessions with celebrities and gymnastics coaches in the city, led by Olympian John Macready, and the USA Gymnastics 50th anniversary museum will be open to the public, showcasing half a century of success.

"During the four days of the P&G Championships, the city of Hartford will enjoy world-class gymnastics, as well as a variety of fun activities," said Steve Penny, President of USA Gymnastics.

"To celebrate our 50th anniversary, we are hosting a museum that traces our 50 years of champions, and we will be recognising the individuals and athletes who have built our success.

"We also will be acknowledging our Hall of Famers, including the 2013 class with the Fierce Five and the 2007 Women's World [Championships] Team, during the competition.

"And on Saturday night, we will have our entire 2012 Olympic gymnastics squad together to celebrate their success last year in London.

"This is going to be an incredibly special week."

Fans will also be given a 20 per cent discount on selected local restaurants with their tickets for the Championships, which will also have special items on offer, and there will be plenty of other activities over the course of the Championships for families and youngsters.

The competition will is due to takee place from August 15 to August 18.
