PG USA GymnasticsJune 24 - USA Gymnastics has extended its deal with Procter & Gamble (P&G) through to the Rio 2016 Olympics.

The partnership, which dates back to 2008, will also see the American consumer goods giant, a worldwide International Olympic Committee (IOC) partner, become the title sponsor of the governing body's national championships and, through the P&G Secret brand, retain title sponsorship of the Secret US Classic.

"P&G is known for its integrity and quality, which are also two words to describe the competition at the P&G Gymnastics Championships," USA Gymnastics President Steve Penny said.

"We have had a very successful partnership with P&G, and we look forward to partnering with them on activation and activities leading up to the Olympics in Rio."

In addition to the title sponsorship of the two events, P&G will also feature on the television inventory and onsite presence at USA Gymnastics' events, such as the AT&T American Cup, during the Olympic cycle.

"Our partnership with the USA Gymnastics has successfully helped amplify our strategic choice to support the Olympics," explained Janet Fletcher, associate marketing director at P&G Sports Marketing.

"In addition, it showcases the important role P&G brands play in the gymnasts' journey as they pursue their dreams on a national stage."

The 2013 P&G Championships will see the America's top male and female gymnastics vying for the coveted US champion title and is set for August 15-18 at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut.
