April 18 - Gabrielle Douglas, Kyla Ross, Alexandra Raisman, McKayla Maroney and Jordyn Wieber, the United States' gold medal winning gymnastics squad from London 2012, are among the champions to be inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame as the governing body celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.

April 11 - Bruno Grandi, President of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), has been awarded the title of Dr Honoris Causa, Japan's highest honour, by the Nippon Sport Science University (NSSU) in Tokyo in recognition of his career of more than 50 years in international sport.
