This year's National Championships will be held at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire in September and, in addition to Olympic team gold medal winner Carl Hester chasing a third successive title, the event will hold extra significance as the it marks the Diamond Anniversary of the national champion title.

It is therefore a perfect time for LeMieux to begin their three-year sponsorship of the Championships.

Established as the leading brand of saddle pads in Britain, the LeMieux range has recently expanded into a full collection of competition equipment.

The brand is owned by Horse Heath - who have been supporting dressage through sponsorship since 2005.

The latest sponsorship deal with the National Championships will also be an attempt for LeMieux to surf the tide of success British Dressage has enjoyed in recent years - which has included a flurry of World and European Championships as well as Olympic medals on the international stage.

This was something outlined by Robert Lemieux, the co-owner of Horse Health with wife Lisa, who was formerly a three-day eventer who represented Britain at the Los Angeles 1984 Olympics.

"We aim to broaden the appeal of our products even further in the coming year," he said.

"This sponsorship provides the perfect platform to showcase the LeMieux brand to the dressage market and we're also keen to acknowledge the loyal support we've received from customers in the sport."

He added: "This is part of a long term commitment to British Dressage and we're very excited about the prospect of working with them to ensure the future success of these Championships."

Similar sentiments were reflected by British Dressage chief executive Amanda Bond who described how "it's fantastic to have LeMieux on board and we're grateful for their three year commitment".

"We're exceptionally proud of our National Championships and the amazing occasion they've become," she added.

"To have a well-respected brand LeMieux alongside our Championships will ensure we can continue to improve and expand the event as well as making it the end-of-season celebration we all love

"It [2014] promises to be a great year with the anniversary to mark and let's hope we have further success to celebrate."

Tickets for this year's LeMieux National Dressage Championship go on sale on June 19 and will be available here from then.
