FEI awards 2013June 4 - The International Equestrian Federation (FEI) has launched a global talent hunt as nominations opened for the 2013 FEI Awards today.

Now in its fifth consecutive year, the FEI Awards aim to "highlight and reward excellence, commitment, dedication and courage" within the equestrian community, with the President Princess Haya set to chair the panel of three international judges that will decide the winners.

"I really hope that National Federations, athletes, fans of equestrianism and everyone working in the sport will make nominations for the FEI Awards 2013," she said.

"Year after year, the nominations we receive confirm how much incredible talent, commitment and courage exists within our community and deserves to be acknowledged far beyond the equestrian world."

Meanwhile, the Development category is for an equestrian development project, individual or organisation that has demonstrated skill, dedication and energy in expanding the sport; and Best Groom is for those working behind the scenes for the welfare of the horse.
