June 10 - The International Equestrian Federation (FEI) has welcomed the passing of a resolution by the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) to develop new standards and guidelines for the temporary international movement of high level sport horses and the establishment of Disease Free Zones in its member countries.

April 30 - Princess Haya, President of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), has been appointed to chair the newly formed Dubai Equestrian Club board as part of a series of royal decrees issued by her husband, United Arab Emirates (UAE) Prime Minister and Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
