The hearing comes after the Commission called on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and Change Cycling Now (CCN) to participate in a truth and reconciliation public hearing, under a full or partial amnesty, but all three declined under the current terms of reference.

It was later revealed by CCN, the pressure group set up last year in a bid to rid the sport of doping, that they along with WADA and USADA could not participate due to serious concerns all three had that the Commission are being controlled by the UCI.

The issue is set to be one of the key things discussed at the hearing in London with the Commission to speak to the UCI about it.

But the hearing has been pushed back by three days due to the fact that snow is disrupting transport across the city.


The procedural hearing has now been rescheduled for this Friday (January 25) while it will still take place at The Law Society in London.

"Unfortunately, due to adverse weather conditions in London which have caused travel difficulties for the parties, the hearing has been postponed from Tuesday 22 January and will now take place on Friday 25 January at The Law Society," said a statement from the Commission.

The hearing is likely to see the UCI come under further pressure, particularly after they criticised lasst week by WADA President John Fahey following Lance Armstrong's admission on Oprah Winfrey that he had doped for all seven of his Tour de France victories. 

The UCI continues to face allegations that they colluded with Lance Armstrong to help cover a major doping scandal in the sport.
