June 16 - Just over 24 hours after nine athletes were selected for Team GB to compete in the flat-water canoe sprint event at this summer's Olympics, it has emerged that the sport has received an additional host nation place for London 2012, with ten athletes now set to represent Britain in the sport at the Games.

June 14 - Tim Brabants, who became Britain's most decorated sprint canoeist by winning gold in the men's K1 1,000 metres at the Beijing 2008 Olympics, will get the chance to defend his title after he was today named as one of nine athletes that will represent Team GB in the flat-water canoe sprint this summer here at the London 2012 venue.
