April 23 - Artem Chebotarev and Cuban Arlen Lopez are set to do battle in the Moscow Arena ©WSBThe Moscow Arena will be the setting for the first semi-final of this season's Word Series of Boxing (WSB) tomorrow as the Russian Boxing Team take on the Cuba Domadores, who have impressed in their debut campaign in the competition.

Both teams come into the clash off the back of comprehensive quarter-final victories and will fancy their chances of making it all the way to the final.

The Russians overcame last year's runners-up Ukraine Otamans 8-2 in a highly-charged match earlier this month, while the Cubans saw off the challenge of the USA Knockouts by the same score in their quarter-final meeting.

The first bout up is the light flyweight contest between Belik Galanov and the number one ranked Cuban Yosbany Veitia Soto, who will be looking to make it seven wins from seven outings in the WSB.

Bantamweight Vladimir Nikitin has a three-from-three record at the Moscow Arena this season and the 24-year-old will be hoping to extend that record against Norlan Yera who will be making his first appearance for the Domadores.

Cuba's Yasnier Toledo has impressed on the road this season and will be seeking a third away win against 2008 Youth World Championship silver medallist Maxim Dadashev, who has a 1-1 record this season in the light welterweight division.

Artem Chebotarev is the favourite to emerge from his middleweight clash with Arlen Lopez, another Cuban making his bow in this season's competition.

The Russian has a 100 per cent record at home with two wins from two outings.

The final bout of the night sees Eugeniy Tischenko face a daunting prospect as he takes on the Cuban powerhouse and world number one Erislandy Savon, who has a 5-0 record this season that includes two technical knockouts and one clean stoppage.

The sides are scheduled to meet in the second leg on May 2 at the Ciudad Deportiva in Havana.

The other semi-final sees defending champions Astana Arlans Kazakhstan host the Azerbaijan Baku Fires on Saturday (April 26) before the return leg at the Guba Olympic Complex on May 3.
