Emms, who won mixed doubles silver at Athens 2004 with partner Nathan Robertson followed by World Championship gold in 2006, will be competing in the women's and mixed doubles events in Milton Keynes.

The double European champion will be looking to secure a seventh national title in both events and will be partnering Ella Tripp in the women's competition and Marcus Ellis in the mixed doubles event.

Emms and Tripp will be up against some stiff competition as they will face defending champions Chris Langridge and Heather Olver as well as husband-and-wife duo Chris and Gabby Adcock, who will be looking to regain the title they won in 2012.

Gabby Adcock will also be a major threat in the women's doubles event as she looks to secure her fifth consecutive national crown.

Adcock claimed a hat-trick of wins with Jenny Wallwork before retaining the title last year with Lauren Smith.

Chris Adcock will be looking to put the disappointment of losing out in last year's men's doubles final to Chris Langridge and Peter Mills behind him as he and partner Andy Ellis look to add to their win in 2012.

In the singles events, Rajiv Ouseph is chasing a seventh straight men's crown after overcoming Carl Baxter in five of those finals while Aamir Ghaffar was his first victim in 2008.

Sarah Walker defeated Fontaine Chapman in last year's women's singles final and both are expected to feature heavily again when the competition reaches the business end.
