Sunday, 28 October 2012
October 28 – It was third time unlucky for Britain's Chris Adcock and Imogen Bankier as they suffered their third consecutive defeat at the hands of badminton's world number one pairing from China, Xu Chen and Ma Jin, in the semi-finals of the French Open. The Anglo-Scottish pair (pictured above), seeded seventh, lost 21-14 21-19 to the top seeds, saving a match point at 20-18 before the Chinese took victory on their second match point.
The 2011 world silver medallists are seeking to finish the year on a high after a disappointing Olympics.
