The European side conceded a record 15 times against South Korea yesterday but bounced back well today on Swedish ice, with 40-year-old veteran star Sylwester Flis scoring twice in a seven minute spell in the second period.

Radoslaw Drapala, also a national champion in sitting volleyball, scored a third in the final period following an assist by Flis,

More goals were only prevented by a superb goaltending performance by Austria's Andrzeh Mlynarczyk, who stopped 26 shots.

But the South Koreans, who are building towards a medal assault on home ice at the Pyeongchang 2018 Paralympics, showed they remain the team to beat with a 9-1 thrashing of Slovakia.

Star player Seung-Hwan Jung scored four goals for the second successive game to take his tournament tally to 11 goals, six assists and 17 points.

Elsewhere, there was a strong 6-2 victory for hosts Sweden over Great Britain, with the Swedes registering a huge 35 shots during the match in comparison to just five by their opponents.
