A total of 30 sets of the medals will be contested across men's and women's sitting, standing and visually impaired classifications at the event in the Canadian resort, with the competition days starting on Wednesday (March 4) and continuing until March 10 in what will be the biggest gathering of alpine skiers since Sochi 2014. 

"It has been an action packed season so far with various World, Europa and NorAm Cups taking place before Panorama 2015, but these medals are the ones that athletes really want to win," Dimitrije Lazarovski, head of IPC Snowsports, said.

"We are really excited about having the World Championships, the most important competition outside of the Paralympic Winter Games, in Canada.

"We know the courses will be challenging and it should make for some very exciting viewing."

Among the outstanding field set to compete in Panorama are the likes of home athlete and Sochi 2014 giant slalom champion Mac Marcoux with his guide brother BJ, New Zealand's Corey Peters, Germany's slalom Paralympic champion Andrea Rothfuß and French reigning five-time world champion Marie Bochet in the women's standing.
