US Paralympics has named a 19-strong squad for the 2014-2015 season that is made up entirely of athletes that competed at Sochi 2014, including six skiers who claimed medals at the Games back in March.

The US won a total of 18 medals in Sochi, 13 of those coming via its Alpine skiers led by double silver medallist Mark Bathum.

Bathum secured his medals in the men's visually impaired super-G and combined, while Heath Calhoun also claimed silver in the men's combined sitting event.

On the women's side, Alana Nichols took silver in the downhill sitting competition.

She is joined by two double bronze medal winners in the form of Stephanie Jallen,  third in the super-G and combined standing events, while Laurie Stephens took bronze in downhill and super-G sitting.

Jallen, 18, was named Best Female Paralympian at this year's inaugural Best Of Awards run by the United States Olympic Committee for her efforts in Sochi.

Stephens also finished second overall in the final International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Alpine Skiing World Cup series.

They will be joined by Lindsay Ball, Jasmin Bambur, Chris Devlin Young, Ralph Green, Andrew Kurka, Stephen Lawler, Jon Lujan, Staci Mannella, Scott Meyer, Melanie Schwartz, James Stanton, Stephani Victor and Tyler Walker.

"We are thrilled to have so many of our Sochi medallists return to the national team," said Kevin Jardine, high performance director for Alpine skiing and snowboarding at US Paralympics.

"Twenty fifteen is going to be a very important year for us to continue to develop some of the up-and-coming athletes and get them to the podium positions at the 2015 International Paralympic Committee Alpine Skiing World Championships."

The IPC Alpine Skiing World Cup series is due to begin in January of 2015, with the season set to conclude at the IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships in Panorama, Canada, from March 1 to 11.
