China domninated team events in Beijing on the final day of the Para table tennis World Championships ©ITTFChina brought the Para-table tennis World Championships to a close in Beijing by picking up four more gold medals on the final day of action in the team competition.

In the women's events, the class one-three combination of Li Qian, Xue Juan and Liu Jing prevailed with a 3-0 win over Turkey's Nergiz Altintas and Hatice Duman.

In class five, Zhang Bian and Zhang Miao recorded a 3-1 success against the Swedish partnership of Anna-Carin Ahlquist and Ingela Lundbäck in the final game of the round-robin format to become world champions.

"We just partnered in the team event for about one year," said Zhang Bian after winning the title.

"We will practice more after this Championship so we can win 3-0 straight the next time."

Mao Jingdian and Pan Mengyi had too much for Germany's Stephanie Grebe and Juliane Wolf in the final of the class six-eight, powering to a straightforward 3-0 win.

It was a different story, however, in class nine-10, as Polish duo Natalia Partyka and Karolina Pek pushed Xiong Guiyan and Yang Qian all the way in a five-set thriller.

Partyka beat both Xiong and Yang in singles competition, but Pek lost her two singles matches leaving it down to the doubles match to decide the winner.

Eventually it was the home pair who came out on top 7-11, 11-6, 9-11, 11-9, 11-3 in the decider to secure a 3-2 win.

"I did not play well in singles, Natalia played better than me", said Yang.

"I lost the match; I have played with her many times, she's the top seed but I am younger and my aim is one day to beat her."

On the men's side the host nation were less dominant but still managed to claim two world titles on the final day at the National Para Training Centre in the Chinese capital.

Class five honours went the way of Cao Ningning and Zhang Yan with victory over Turkey's Ali Ozturk and Abdullah Ozturk, while a 3-0 win over Austrians Trevor Hirth and Nathan Pellissier saw Ye Chaoqun and Zhao Shuai take gold in class eight.

In class six-seven, Jordi Morales was the hero as he secured victory in his singles clash with Mykhaylo Popov of Ukraine to ensure Spain were crowned world champions with a surprise victory over the top seeds in another five setter.

It was a similar story in class nine-10 as Polish second seeds Patryk Chojnowski and Sebastian Powrozniak overcame Chinese top seeds Ge Yang and Ma Lin 3-1 to deny the hosts another world title.

"Our team believed we could win against China," revealed Chojnowski.

"We have played against them in three finals; we had to win, everybody played well."

There was further disappointment for China in the class one category as Feng Panfeng and Zhai Xiang had to settle for silver after losing out to Germany's Thomas Brüchle and Thomas Schmidberger.

That followed defeat for another German duo in the class one category as Marcus Sieger and Holger Nikelis went down 3-2 to South Koreans Lee Changho and Cho Jaekwan in another contest that went all the way to a final match in the deciding match of the round-robin format.
