England's Nangle, who took up shooting in 2008 after nearly losing a leg in an accident, shot superbly to win the 10m air pistol SH1 after leading throughout the competition.

He finished on a score of 193.4 points, two clear of final opponent and eventual silver medallist, Azerbaijan's Kamran Zeynalov, who rose from only fourth place after the qualification round. 

Andriy Zakhvatayev of Ukraine eventually finished in third after holding off Mongolian opponent Ganbaatar Zandraa.

There was even better fortunes for Ukraine in the 10m air rifle prone SH2 competition which followed the pistol event, however, as Kovalchuk continued the form which saw him win this event at London 2012.

The 41-year-old finished on 211.6 points ahead of Finland's Minna Sinikka Leinonen and Joep Van Lankveld of The Netherlands, who took silver and bronze respectively.

Adam Fontain was the best placed of the British shooters in fourth place.

Today marked the last day of action at the ancestral home of the Paralympic Movement, close to the Buckinghamshire town of Aylesbury, with the next World Cup scheduled to take place in Szczecin, Poland, from April 17 to 21.
