Mallorca is the fourth stop on the ISAF Sailing World Cup calendar and will see 19 athletes take to the seas in the 2.4mR event for adaptive sailors.

Pascoe won the last World Cup event in Miami earlier this year and will look to continue her strong performance in Palma de Majorca when the competition gets underway tomorrow.

"Our international competitions are growing and only a couple of years out to Rio it is looking like the competition for the medals are going to be tough," Pascoe said.

The world number one will face stiff opposition on her path to glory, with defending Mallorca World Cup champion Bjørnar Erikstad of Norway sure to push her right to the line.

Pascoe's compatriot and Paralympic gold medallist Helena Lucas should also prove a strong contender in Mallorca as she goes head-to-head with her teammate in a bid for the single Rio 2016 sailing berth.

"We are one of a few countries who in the Paralympic world have to decide who goes to the Games," said Pascoe.

The two trained together until 2012 and are anticipating their rivalry to grow ahead of the Rio 2016.

"I believe it is going to be tight like last time around," added Pascoe.

"I think it is worth watching as the next few years unfold."
